I haven’t bought a bottle of salad dressing in a long time. Besides the occasional bottle of Newman’s I think it’s been a few years.
Once I started making my own salad dressing I just couldn’t go back to the junky grocery store stuff. The taste is so much better and it’s actually really easy and cheap to make (so why would I go back to the junky grocery store stuff, right?).
This is my go-to salad dressing for all occasions since it’s super easy and has a mild flavor that most people enjoy.
White Wine Vinaigrette
Ingredients:
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup white wine (or champagne wine) vinegar
- one clove of garlic, minced (or 1/8 -1/4 tsp garlic powder if you’re in pinch)
- salt and pepper
Directions:
Mix all of the ingredients in a salad dressing container or mason jar and shake to combine.
Even easier directions: When I have forgotten to make dressing and we are about to sit down to dinner I have been known to just shake a bit of each ingredient over my salad. It works great!
I can’t wait for fresh salad from my garden (I may or may not have just drooled).
This sounds great and so simple! It would be great with fruit too. Thanks for sharing on Natural Living Monday!
Ooh fruit sounds great, good idea :)
