Healing Lyme

This book includes a protocol for avoiding Lyme infection if you are bitten by a tick.
Foraging Book

My instructor recommended this book by Euell Gibbons. He said the author inspires the reader to get excited about wild food. I always prefer learning from people who are truly passionate about what they are teaching!
DO LESS
From Amazon: “This is a book for working women and mothers who are ready to release the culturally inherited belief that their worth is equal to their productivity, and instead create a personal and professional life that’s based on presence, meaning, and joy.”
Healthy Broth
This Kettle and Fire broth is the only brand I buy since it’s made with quality ingredients and doesn’t contain fillers. Gluten-free, Non-GMO, Dairy-Free, Paleo-friendly, Keto Diet, and Whole30 approved!
My Favorite Natural Soap
The whole family uses this 3 in 1 soap (shampoo, and bubble bath). It works great, smells amazing, and is relatively inexpensive!
My Favorite Chick Brooder

When I brood chicks, I like to use the Brinsea EcoGlow Chick Brooder instead of heat lamps. I like this brooder because it’s:
- safer – no fire risk
- healthier for the chicks – I’ve never had a chick get pasty butt except for the one time I used a heat lamp when we couldn’t find the EcoGlow power cord (too high temps cause pasty butt)
- easy to get the right temperature – it replicates a mother hen and chicks can go under when they are cold and come out when they are warm
I love the Ecoglow so much that when I was shopping for an incubator I chose the Brinsea brand (and I’m glad I did — it worked perfectly!)
Stinging Nettle Herb
This herb is known to control histamine in the body. You can take it in capsule, tea, or tincture form. If you want to harvest it yourself (it grows in many places in the U.S. but can sting your skin if you harvest wrong.
You can get dried Nettle Leaf (for tea or making tinctures) or Nettle leaf tincture.
One Second After
I got an Amazon gift card for Christmas and decided to grab this book with part of it.

I’d heard good things about One Second After so when I saw it on sale I jumped. It’s about what would happen after an Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) wipes out all electronics (spoiler: it’s basically a zombie apocalypse without the zombies).
Though it’s definitely written from a man’s perspective (the author is a man after-all) I’m really enjoying it. Well, enjoy might not be the perfect word, since some aspects of it are sad and scary (but that’s still enjoyable right?).
In fact, I have renewed interest in creating a deep pantry in case something like this were to happen!
