For someone who writes a blog about living simply you would think I’d have an easy time living presently and enjoying life. Unfortunately, my worry wort tendencies make it a constant struggle to let go, relax, and enjoy what is happening in my life without looking at minute occurrences as life changing events. It’s like when the father from Peter Pan attributes the loss of his cuff links to the family being thrown out on the street.
But I believe that slowing down, even once in a while, and really seeing what you have in terms of love, family, experiences and aspirations is an important skill to master. When I stop to appreciate the things I have I don’t feel as much like I need stuff. Of course, not having money to buy stuff with helps too.
