I love mexican food! I could eat it twice a week and not get sick of it. Unfortunately, the packaged taco seasonings are full of sodium and other things I don’t know how to pronounce so, eating it twice a week would probably not be very healthy (not to mention, expensive!).
So I created my own spice blend to add to ground beef or turkey, beans, chicken, or anything else that you want to taste taco-y.
The best part is that this recipe is so simple that you could probably remember it after the first time or two that you make it so if you are anything like me, and don’t like to waste time looking at recipes or directions, this recipe is for you!
Taco Seasoning mix
1/4 cup chili powder
1/4 cup onion powder
1/4 cup ground cumin
1/4 cup garlic granules or powder
1 T paprika
1 T Salt
1 T Oregano
Place all ingredients into a glass container (I used a mason jar). shake well. Use 2 T of seasonings per pound of meat or can of beans.
Love this. Thanks!
